For Timps and Tape is a solo work for 5 Timpani with tape accompaniment. The audio used to be on a CD attached to the score, now the files are downloaded from this website.
The full score shows the rhythms of the accompanying part (and some indication of the types of sound) Also included is a solo Timp part.
I was trying to create a work for solo Timpani which an Audience might actually enjoy listening to. (If I failed I’m certainly not alone and just hope I’m not the worst offender).

Another option with this piece is to have someone make an interpretation of the tape part (on drum set or maybe an electric drum set) and perform it as a duo.
I’ve got plans for my own video of this one, but until I get round to it check this out!
